The logo of the Grateful Dead first started as a 13 point lightning bolt, originally created as a way for the band to mark their equipment at music festivals.
The lightning bolt design concept came to Owsley Stanley, Grateful Dead’s sound engineer, after seeing a graphic design on a road sign advertisement. Stanley shared his ideas with artist Bob Thomas who drew up sketches, eventually adding a skull to create the recognizable Grateful Dead logo we know today.
New York jewelry designer, Cynthia Gale, designed this Official Grateful Dead jewelry collection. Gales collection celebrates iconic Dead artwork in artisan crafted, sterling silver for Dead Heads all around the world.

★★★★★The sun will shine
Every time I wear one of my beautiful pieces of Grateful Dead inspired jewelry by CG I’m moved brightly! I love these earrings along with two necklaces from the collection. The symbolic pieces are finely crafted and a perfect connection to the spirit of the music. I’m happy to wear this fine jewelry daily and the high quality and aesthetic is appreciated. My favorites and always checking in for new pieces!

These earrings are gorgeous. My amazing fiance bought them for me and I absolutely love them. The mother of pearl is just beautiful. Sadly one of my earrings broke so I contacted the gallery and they sent me a replacement right away. Cynthia Gale's is amazing and so is her staff. Love is real, not fade away. Thank you!
