Punk Explosion Collection

This jewelry collection was inspired by women in the music industry who have influenced rock and roll music, from the beginning to today. During the punk era, women were tough and rebellious. Women refused to reform to the mainstream and the social norm. This became clear in both music and clothing. Women used what they wore as a platform to express themselves during performances.

Do-it-yourself clothing adorned with skulls and crossbones, safety pins and leather became a staple for the era. The skull and gothic cross symbolize the rebellious punk rock attitude.

The Punk Explosion collection has been produced for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum by Cynthia Gale. A portion of the proceeds from your purchase goes back to the museum to support their education program.
